All players must make sure that they remain available for every period of time included in the tournament schedule.
All participants must report to the registration table 15 minutes before the scheduled time for their matches.
Any player arriving 15 minutes after a court has been assigned to his/her match will be automatically disqualified.
After each match, the 2 opponents must report to the tournament table in order to:
- Give us the name of the winner and the final score of the match
- Bring the balls back
- Be given the time of their next match
- Optional consolation round: any player who loses in the first round and who is interested in playing consolation matches must register for those with the person in charge.
Formula: All matches will be played to the best of three sets (no ads during the 3rd set), with a tie-break at 5-5. To win a tie-break, a player must accumulate 7 points, with a 2 point gap with his/her opponent.
All players will be allowed a 5-minute warm-up period at the beginning of each match (including serve practice). Play must begin as soon as the person in charge announces the start of the match, otherwise formal warnings will be given.
To avoid any misunderstandings about the score, we invite the server to call it before the start of each rally.
If a ball or any other object obstructs play during a game, the point will be played again if one of the players has called a let.
Players must call the balls on their respective sides of the court. If there is any doubt, the point must be given to the opponent.
Official Tennis Québec rules will apply during this tournament.
To know the time of your matches, you can call us at 270-2724, extension 0 from August 30, or visit our website at www.tennismontreal.qc.ca (where all draws will be posted).
No changes will be made to the schedule in cases when players cannot make themselves available. |
